BEAT, a 1\2 year course for 7th grade students is designed to enrich the
language arts skills of students and introduce technology into the academic
classroom by using electronic keyboards. Upon mastery of the keyboard, the
language arts skills of the student will be enriched by applying basic English
skills through a formal research project. The research project will require the
student to apply the skills acquired in this course to complete library research,
write a research paper, format the final paper and make a multimedia
presentation.
