Hello!! Welcome to elementary music at
Herndon Magnet School. Music class is a
very special time during the school week for
our elementary students at Herndon. To
insure that students get the most use of our
time during our weekly sessions, we ask
that they refrain from talking, keep hands
and feet to themselves, stay seated and
most of all, have fun!! Participation is a
major portion of the music grade, so
students are encouraged to participate in all
classroom discussions and activities.
Students should handle musical instruments
very carefully to avoid any damage and
always wait for permission before getting an
instrument. Following these simple
guidelines will enable our music classes to
successfully explore the music of Louisiana
and the world around us.
